On 6th November, Julian Smith laid a Remembrance tribute in the Royal Legion Constituency Garden of Remembrance in the Houses of Parliament.
The Garden of Remembrance provides MPs with an opportunity to participate in an act of Remembrance on behalf of their constituency by planting a wooden Remembrance tribute in commemoration to those who serve or have served, in His Majesty’s Armed Forces.
Commenting, Julian said,
"Today, on behalf of the Skipton and Ripon constituency, I dedicated a Remembrance tribute to those who gave their lives in defence of our democratic freedoms and way of life.
"It is important that we honour their ultimate sacrifice and thank those who have served and who continue to serve our country."
