Police appeal following collision involving 12-year-old boy

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a road incident involving a 12-year-old boy.

It happened between 8:10am-8:30am yesterday (Thursday) when a car collided with the boy at a pedestrian crossing.

He was crossing from B&M towards Morrisons on Broughton Road. 

The car has been identified to have been a white Toyota Yaris.

The boy sustained serious injuries to his foot as a result of the collision.

A police spokesperson said:

"We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact them.

"Please email William.Larmour@northyorkshire.police.uk if you can help.

"Alternatively, you can call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for PC 883 Larmour."
