The pumpkin carving workshop in Skipton

Skipton Bid have announced the arrival of a pop-up pumpkin patch, a pumpkin carving workshop and more this Halloween for families to enjoy.

The events will take place on the 26th & 27th October with the pop-up pumpkin patch happening at 9B High Street, the vacant unit next to Pizza Express.

Highlights of the Event:

  • Halloween Monster Trail: Ten monsters are hiding in shop windows around town; are you brave enough to find them! Find the monsters and find the hidden word to be entered into a prize draw to win a Spooktacular prize! (The trail must be completed to enter the Pumpkin Patch on 26th & 27th October)
  • Pop-Up Pumpkin Patch: It’s the perfect photo opportunity, the ‘Pop-Up Pumpkin Patch’, is perfect for pumpkin pickers of all ages who fancy getting into the spooky spirit, all while staying dry and warm at the same time. Featuring pumpkins, straw furrows, picket fencing and hay bales.
  • Pumpkin Carving Workshops: Guided by experts from Sand in Your Eye, the pumpkin carving workshops will be held on Saturday 26th October. Learn tips and tricks to carve your spooky masterpiece and take home a hand-carved jack-o'-lantern that’s sure to impress your neighbours!
  • Live Giant Pumpkin Carve: The amazing artists from Sand in your Eye will transform an enormous Halloween pumpkin before your eyes! The pumpkin artists will whittle the pumpkin away to allow the personality of the pumpkin to emerge – it might be a troll, a witch, a monster, a dragon, an animal or a goofy face – you’ll have to wait and see!
  • Halloween Crafting: After visiting the Pop up Pumkin Patch on Sunday 27th October you can then enjoy some free Halloween Crafting brough to you by the amazing Creative Peeps!
